BRING ME HOME

I love this song by Sade, “Bring me home”. It really speaks to me. I feel like she is singing to me. Basically she is saying that she has come to a place in her life where she has no other place to go and needs to return to a place, some place that is like home. She’s traveled and lived and done and is far removed from where she started. She’s suffered lost and now has to find a way to get back to a place that she used to be. What that looks like in her life is well beyond my knowledge, but I can solely speak for myself I’m lost in the big bowl of sauce. I particularly like the line in the song where she says that “the small step I need to take is like a mountain, stretched out like a lazy dog”. I really am a stone’s throw away from a great change in my life and its seems like such a small task but yet its momentous and overwhelming to make. I guess the question of the day is, how do you make that small step that’s going to send your life hurling in a new direction? I’m not quite sure but I guess I’ll be exploring the possibilities with Sade singing in the back ground cheering me on!
